My experience in Public Relations:

I am very passionate about the field of public relations and I'm a firm believer that good PR is key in building good relationships with stakeholders that will in turn generate goodwill and return on investment in the long run. Community relations, event planning, audience analysis, and crisis communications are some of my area of interests. Below are a listing of public relations projects/campaigns that I have helped put together for organizations during my internship at Sheraton Hotels in Waikiki and course of graduate studies at HPU:

1) Assist the Director of Public Relations, BJ Whitman, in preparing action plan, budget, calendar of events, campaign strategies, and evaluation techniques for Sheraton Princess Kaiulani's 50th Anniversary Celebration in 2005.

2) Writing news releases, media advisories, making media calls, attend meetings, PRSA luncheon and events.

3) Conducted a communication audit and survey among donors of Catholic Charities Hawaii (CCH). Based on the results, we put together a crisis communication plan for CCH and did a presentation for them.

4) Research - Conducting research on audience analysis and ways to measure PR efforts effectively, i.e. "How do you measure PR?".

Thank you for taking the time to view my online portfolio and please feel free to take a look at my online resume and contact me if you have any questions or would like to view samples of my writing, Crisis Communication Plan book for CCH, or Sheraton Princess Kaiulani's 50th anniversary plan book.
